Staying motivated through the week

Sometimes it can feel as if the days start to blend together, and life begins to seem repetitive. You may start to see yourself lose motivation and be overcome by desolation but do not fret as there are many ways to progress through this.

Let's begin with the body. You need rest, do not overwork yourself. Sustain a schedule, whether it be on your phone or within a paper calendar, that way you can be sure you don't cram too much activity into one day. Be sure to have a good sleeping schedule, giving your body proper rest. Eat healthily! By no means am I saying to eat a salad every day for every meal but our body needs certain nutrients found in fruits and vegetables so please make sure you are adding them to your diet. Drink lots and lots of water! Our body is a temple, take care of it. You will start to see a difference in the way you live when your body feels good.

Don't forget about your mind and soul. Your head can get so cloudy throughout the week filled with the smog that is life, you need to clear that up! Do this a couple of ways. One is by taking electronic breaks. Instead of scrolling on the latest hot app or getting lost in your favorite TV show, go on a nature walk or sit by the beach and listen to the waves. Let your mind be free. Try practicing meditation, you will see how it helps you look at life a bit differently. You will start to slow down and smell the roses. Find activities that make you feel content and cheerful. These could be different things like; painting, yoga, skating, cooking, arts and crafts, and so much more. Start to do more things for yourself. Remind yourself that you are worthy and deserve the best things in life. You can also practice daily affirmations, there are tons to go by. You can look them up on the internet but here are a few examples:

"I am worthy of happiness"

"I am beautiful, intelligent, fun, and full of life."

"I am doing a great job."

"I am deeply grateful for my body, my health, and my unique talents."

"I deserve everything good that comes to me."

The first step in feeling better is doing better. You have to put in the effort! That is the first and most important step. It is not about life being easy, it is about how you deal with the trials and tribulations. More life, happiness, and peace to you in your journey.
